Accessibility
Our commitment to an accessible shop, the standard we work to (WCAG 2.1 AA) and how to tell us about a problem.
We want everyone to be able to browse and buy at linevessa.shop, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We build and check the shop ourselves; we do not use an accessibility overlay plug-in.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text colours meet the WCAG contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Product images have text alternatives that say what the photo shows.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are described in text, not only by colour.
- Animations — the drawings that draw themselves, the moving text band and the short films — stop or are shown in their finished state when your device is set to reduce motion. The films can be paused.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
- The language of each page is set, so screen readers use the right pronunciation in every language we offer.
Known limitations
- The short films have no spoken content and no audio track, so they have no captions.
- Some payment screens are provided by our payment providers; we choose providers that support accessibility, but we do not control their pages.
